White Onions *
Tomatoes
Blueberries (From: James Stauffer, Tower City, PA)

Mini Shares:

Tomatoes
Blueberries (From: James Stauffer, Tower City, PA)

Low Spray Fruit Shares:

Peaches (From: Brecknock Orchards, Mohnton, PA)

Remember, if your box contains something you just don’t want, you’ve got a couple of options:

  1.  Contact others in the CSA and offer to make a swap.  If you’ve made arrangements to leave unwanted produce for someone else, just put it in a bag with their name on it and leave it near the other CSA boxes in the pick up area.  You should have received contact information for the other folks in the CSA– if you did not, or can’t find it, email me at cb.wcfood@gmail.com.
  2.  Leave unwanted produce in the SWAP BOX, and help yourself to whatever you find in there.  Any unclaimed produce will be directed into the Church’s hunger relief programs.

If you’ve got something that you are not used to preparing and are game for giving it a try, take a look through these recipe links, keyed to this week’s box, for some ideas:

GREEN BEANS: Succotash Salad

BASIL: Basil Tea

TOMATOES: Summer Tomato Crumble

Do you have a favorite recipe for something in this week’s box?  Put it in a comment here to share with the CSA community!  Thanks for supporting local USDA certified organic farming!

Enjoy!
